Lots of schools use ATI or similar tests as part of their evaluation, so that part doesn't seem too strange to me. Some schools use them to weed out students to keep their NCLEX pass rates unnaturally high. That seems less ethical to me, but it happens. To me, it sounds like this program is somewhere in the middle. I take my ATI Predictor tomorrow and did horrible on the practice test. One was in the 60's and the other was in the 50's. Like previous test that we have taken with ATI, I have found that the practice test are normally harder than the actual test. The second predictor was a little harder and told me that I would have a 74% chance of passing the NCLEX the first time.My best advice to you is to practice your ATI's thoroughly (especially the Med-Surg's and Comprehensive Finals).
