I have fired both the XD and the glock 19, 26, and the subcompact glock 40 cal one cant remember the name. Personally I was more accurate with the glocks then the XD but their all great guns. Another gun I would suggest looking at is the Ruger SR9c. I have owned both the full size SR9 and the compact SR9c the c is my carry.The felt recoil with the XD-9 Service and the Glock 19 is probably about the same, which is NEXT TO NOTHING. The main differences between the two is the grip angle and the fact that the Glock 19 is a more concealable pistol due to it's slightly shorter grip.
